She was in the early stages of Alzheimer's, on top of that, the elderly usually get confused and disoriented in the hospital.  I was appalled one night when I went to visit and she was in restraints so I raised all kinds of heck.


Next day is when she made that escape and was found over by the onsite daycare center.  It's very easy, the staff are usuall so distracted.  I'd really try keep an eye on him.  It's a hard line to walk making decisions for their safety but that's part of parenting our parents.
