Not had a PE, but I have had 4 DVTs

I didn't have a choice but to get right back to work. It was very painful and very difficult to focus. I put a pillow on my desk and just tried to keep my leg elevated as much as possible. I take Coumadin everyday and was told about 3 years ago that I would be on it for the rest of my life. It is very discouraging as I am only in my early 30s.

If you don't mind my asking, is this your first PE and do they know what caused this? I was diagnosed with antiphospholipid antibody syndrome, Factor V Leiden and a positive lupus antibody. I have never met or heard of anyone else with this condition.

I wish you the best.
