Oh! A kindred soul! sm

In Reply to: I agree...verbatim is not a laughing matter - luv2cruise

Please let me share with you one of my biggest pet peeves.  It involves the incorrect use of the word "myself" when the correct word should be "me," as in:

Incorrect:  The patient was seen by the nurse practitioner and myself.

Correct:  The patient was seen by the nurse practitioner and me.

Incorrect:  The radiograph was reviewed by myself.  (Huh?!)

Correct:  The radiograph was reviewed by me.

Just little old "me" doesn't sound important enough, I guess.  LOL  At least I get to edit it though.  My account isn't verbatim.  I feel for you.  It would drive me crazy not to be able to edit things.

Have you sold your soul yet to them? nm
:
Fred - God rest his soul
he gave a lot of us this wonderful opportunity....I don't recall the bugs in the money tree though 8-)
So you sold your soul for a severance wad?
Re: the letter - the paper wants to know if what you've written them is on the up and up. A reputable rag checks it sources for accuracy and truth. If they print the story, you can ask not to have your name or company printed (though I doubt they'd do it anyway) but unless they have real facts, real names, and real experiences, they're not necessarily going to believe that what you tell them is true. There is always SOME risk when you want to make changes, but in this case I think it's almost nil. Still, refusing to accept the risks associated with change often means a person is willing to SETTLE for the status-quo.
MY SOUL IS QUITE INTACT, THANK YOU, and my family has to eat...
So what would you do?   No money, no job.  You say to the company who let you go, no thank you - I don't need that cash.  Until you have walked in my shoes, you have absolutely no idea.  That $$ was between us and the street.  And I am not supplying any reporter, news organization, or poltical figure with any facts at all!!  If you read this letter, which was worded very carefully,  I am stating that facts are not available and that they need to find out what those figures are!!   Not in MY best interest but in the best interest of 30+ million people out of work and billions of dollars lost to our economy.  You should have comprehended when you read this letter that it is not just about you, I, or the MT business.  It just happens that the MT business is a large scope of it.  Don't be so quick to play judge and jury and you will see that even though I did better for myself, I did not forget about others who have not, including you.
Ah, sorry. I was thinking FlashForward (rest its soul). nm

every living breathing being has a soul and killing --
is wrong no matter if human or animal. by your conception of things, then if you have the flu and are causing an epidemic, we should do away with you too, to protect the rest of us??
"May his soul rest in heaven."
This was the last line of a death summary I just transcribed.

That's a new one on me....
Never said I felt that way, not into soul mates - that would be like winning the lottery - sm
odds are against it. But you can meet someone who you feel is the "one", or at least want to marry and have a life with. If you don't have strong feelings I'd say the marriage is doomed from the start unless someone marries only for money and security, then they will put up and deal with almost anything. ----when I was younger I was one very stupid girl, thought the first guy I met would be the guy I married, boy how do girls get such stupid ideas? My mom had gotten me into Harliquin Romances....boy wish she hadn't maybe I would have wised up faster.....funny how all these young women, all virgins/unexperienced, meet and marry successful, wealthy men in those books. If my kids ever read them I will make a point of explaining to them that life is nothing like a Harliquin Romance.
Elliott was yelling Soul Patrol tonight!
Gotta love Elliott. I'll be there to buy his CD...no doubt about it.
Here I sat feeling so incredibly lonely. Wishing I could meet my soul mate
All the men I have ended up with sound like the guy you are with. Takes all the courage I have to pick up and leave them but staying with them destroys my sense of self esteem, my sense of humor, and dulls my passion for life.

Now, sitting here, quietly, sipping a capuccino, sitting in a robe, having no expectations (unrealistic) of me, not having the guy in my world stifling me or doing something out of this world to send my spiraling into my mind trying to figure out what he is thinking ...orrr the always present poor financial state that I always seemed to end up in when with a guy (my dad was alcoholic - had tendency to be with men who had character traits of addictive personality types)and all I can think of is life is passing me by cause I am not with a man.

There are worst things than being alone. Why do I forget this???

Follow your gut. Your kids will thank you. Children deserve a happy mom and you deserve to live the life you envision.

Was going to suggest that you wait to buy as I have a feeling some homes will end up in foreclosure as the interest rate increases and the monthly payments on ARMs and interest only loans increase, but if you have a small town that may not be the case.

Let us know how things go.
