When I started MT in 1986 I was paid a big fat $4.19 an hour, and had to pay my son's part of health insurance ($189 a month) out of that. When I left that hospital in 1991 to manage a doctor's office, I was making $6.25 an hour.
Only recently (about a year ago), they increased wages at a nearby hospital (not the same one I worked at, don't know what they make there now) to a little over $10 an hour.
