On Branching out

I worked for 8 1/2 years doing only orthopedics. I decided to move on and got lucky and landed a job in a hospital. I had a mentor there that was a Godsend. Because of her, my pay more than doubled (until MQ came along and screwed it up for almost everybody). But, a good mentor is the best thing. She had been there for 30 years and after the first year, there was nothing I couldn't do. I love her so much!

Branching out , just another opinion
Hi. I stuck to mostly radiology for the greater part of 15 years, with a little clinical and a little acute care mixed in. BTW, I love psych! I decided too I needed to branch out. Acute care experience seems to be required most and I wanted to remain marketable, so that's the path I took. I still like RAD, but it seems to be the first to go to VR in most hospitals. Good luck with your decision!
