You just need an available USB port or network port to get cable internet or DSL. If you think you don't have enough speed you probably just need more ram. If you still want a new PC, just be sure you buy one with at least 512 megs of ram. Pretty much all the newer puters come with a DVD burner. I have never burned a DVD though...only burn on CDRW blanks for file info.
