oops - big mistake - I said the wrong person - apologies apologies apologies
it WAS NOT Desperado who made that statement. Sorry. It was another person that made the statement about the physical and drug screen remark. Sorry. Sorry Sorry. I apologize a million times for that.
my apologies administrator, its suddenly back

I got taken by this person....though I did get my $$$ back. I can dig up my info. -sm
If you leave another message with an email I will email you with the info I have. Can't believe this lady is still taking people's money---you can call the local police where she is in OK...they know her well.

My apologies
Reading further, I see that Mr. Vance is not, in fact, the founder. Donna Littrell, CEO of Elite Office Solutions has started this organization and Mr. Vance is simply noting that (he did join, however). My only question was as to whether current members of AHDI including CMTs would join this new organization without rescinding their previous affiliation. It just seems that the two organizations would be in direct conflict with each other. If AHDI members don't join I would understand that, but if they do join, then I would be concerned that it's bogus. How could you fight against outsourcing and belong to AHDI? Sorry if I caused any confusion by attributing this organization to Jay Vance.
my apologies...you of course are right
and your typing is not so good and you are using caps, you must really be uspet for some reason.
My apologies to administrator. I did not
intend for my response to turn this thread into a religious debate. Will try to be more careful in the future.
Deepest Apologies
To all who read my ad in the job seeker's forum, I offer my deepest apologies.  I am a subcontractor who has always subcontracted since becoming a medical transcriptionist.  Because "business" is booming, I decided to "treat" myself to an Editor to knock my 16 hour days down to 8.  I dutifully went on line and looked for statistics on what the going rate was, and found many, many stating .02 to .03 cpl as standard.  These must have been old websites.  I did not do this out of greed, but out of ignorance, and the ad has been removed.  Again, I apologize for hurting so many feelings and will make sure I get my facts straight the next time I place an ad.
anon, my apologies, not down on you,
but I do see a lot of posts reflecting what I was talking about, so I did not mean to direct it all at you per se, just saw an opening for my "soapbox."

It is great that things are good for you and you are not seeing the issues a lot of us do in this profession, but for the rest of us to make light of them and pretend they do not exist is not going to make it any better.

We should be standing together. Even if you are doing great, you have a lot of sisters who are not. In fact, many are hurting real badly right now.
My apologies to you. See message
I do apologize for the argumentative post, and I'm glad you realize it's an ad. Pay no mind to most of the emails, as the *other* crew frequently sends emails on anything they can think of. My gut reaction to argue was simply because of the repeated posts about viruses (which these are not) and the fact that so many people believe they are. Kudos to you for knowing the difference, but I did want to point out to others that it wasn't something attacking their computer. I have run adware/spyware scans on my computer 3 times a week since my introduction to the bad aspect of those, and each time I run them I get a minimum of 20. I don't click on ads, so I thought this was the norm just from going on websites. However, your post makes me think otherwise. Now, if you can tell me how to block them from every site...I will most certainly hail you guru.
Should read apologies to "moderator." nm

Sorry, I probably read this wrong. My apologies. sm
I am SWAMPED by this clinic that I'm currently working on.  DH is being a buttmunch, too.   on me!
My apologies. I believe it is SpeedType not SmartType
that is supposed to be like Shorthand. But, in any case, check with tech support at ShortHand about compatibility with your program.
my apologies...I agree with you on THAT part about cherrypicking...
had that happen first-hand my first year of transcription...supervisor took all normals, easy dictators, etc., all to score points with the Medical Director - constantly making everyone think she was some kind of wizard on the keyboard (haha, it is funny now, but all of us in the office knew exactly what she was doing...)
My sincere apologies. Was just in a goofy mood
and it struck me funny. Sorry.
Apologies all around, we experienced a glitch that caused
the content on the inside of the post to not belong to the original job ad post. The error has been rectified.
typo/ should have said definitely. Thanks

Sorry for the typo and...
I'm also going to post this on the company board in case this is the wrong board for this. Thanks.

Just noticed typo - should've proofed before sending.  Sorry for the incorrect spelling of through.
It was a typo
My father-in-law signed my husband up for this and I thought I would give it a shot to see if we could make some extra money. I really am a medical transcriptionist. I work for a company out of Brentwood, TN, but I get to work from home using ChartMatrix and VoiceWave.
It's a typo - get over it! nm

Sorry about that typo!

typo
I meant to say [resent] instead of recent. I hate typos, even in postings---must be the MT in my blood!
Your VPN, no you. typo! nm

Sorry for typo. sm
Sorry for typo. Yes, you are right. It's such a small amount, but the principle of the matter as well as her arrogant disposition prompted me to do it. Her lawyer is taking it to trial. We could have settled this thing, but maybe her lawyer is milking her and stroking her pride. Anyway, someone is going to get paid, even if it is not me.
Typo
Was told I could NOT take a vacation....or, not one that included the entire weekend - lol!
typo

"It" not I. sorry for the typo. nm

it was a typo - LOOKOUT.....NM

yes, but there are not just typo errors. sm
A wrong word, i.e., peroneal instead of perineal, and the list goes on ad infinitum, or a sentence ending in the wrong place.  There are any number of things a spellchecker will not catch. I proof totally when I transcribe. Having worked in QA for a long long time, even very very good MTs make some pretty bad mistakes from time to time.
sorry for typo, should be "looking bad" (sm)
Sorry for the typo...should have been "looking bad". I just woke up and am checking my email, etc. I worked 2nd/3rd last night. I know it is no excuse for a typo, but my brain is not in "work mode" just yet.......

[[[[[[Seems like I've heard that you have to let it get a certain length before you wax? Waxing seems like it would be great, but if I had to wait even 1 day with it looking back, or heaven forbid, dayssss, no way. Is that true, or can you just do it as soon as you see a sign of more growth? Seriously, I've always wondered about this....not OP, but this post caught my eye too.]]]]]]

Please, one typo is NOT the problem..
x
typo--that should be WEBSITE

long day

I would count as a typo
especially if I felt the MT knew her stuff.... this kind of thing happens - QA supposedly was an MT themselves in a previous life- do you think this never happened to them? I might not even count it depending on the MT and my mood! :)
Please disregard the typo . . .
I see that I have mixed the words. It just makes me mad to see QA with "experience" pick on those trying to make it. Seems like you tend to forget how it was in your beginning years.
oops -- typo
Fingers are not working today. Sorry. :(
My blooper typo-of-the-day! sm

Doctor dictates:  "Extremities are warm and well perfused."

What I almost typed:  "Extremities are warm and well PERFUMED."

    Time for a break

Ooops! Typo.
I did type it wrong on my original post.  It is Ctrl+Insert+Insert that I use.  I am out of it today...typical Monday blahs.   Thanks!
I repeat - and YOU have never had a typo?
