you are an experienced high-quality MT, but way too many are not & don't put forth much effort to learn their craft. Just like QAs, MTs vary in their knowledge and ability. Some know their stuff and do an excellent job, but many would shock you at the lack of quality and effort. Since you have obviously never been a QA, you wouldn't know that.
