you could do full-time hours with a toddler would be if you work second shift after your husband comes home.  I've worked at home since my first son was about 8 months old.  The key for me was that I did not work full-time and my husband also worked at home, neither one of us had set hours, and we tag-team parented.  My kids were never in day care.  Any chance you could work part-time very early in the morning before your toddler wakes up?  If there is any way you can avoid day care, try that route.  It's worth it to always be there.
