NEWSFLASH - Nobody HAS to do anything, VR or anything else.  We MTs have been conditioned to accept anything dished out to us.  There are options.  We can:
 1.  Walk away, get another job paying half salary.
 2. Walk away and find a company that doesn't force VR down an MT's throat.
 3.  Walk away and go on UE and get at least half of former pay and not have to do ANYTHING.

Digging a little deeper into the CMT debate -
 - I think 'CMT preferred' is ALSO another way of saying, 'MT's over 45 need not apply'. Sounds like age-discrimination to me, since most MTs who don't feel the need for a CMT were transcribing as a profession when the CMTs were still wearing Pampers.
