We lived in Florida for over 15 years then moved, and no, my national did not pay any more. But you do get a break, since there is no state income tax. The Panama City area is very nice, schools are decent. Housing is booming everywhere in Florida; we last lived in the Destin area, so houes prices are booming too!! We last lived in Orange Park, FL, and our house had double in price in less than five years. Gas, food and clothing are really any different than where you're at now. I have a cousin in the Houston area, she says not much difference from where we were. Good luck! Great place to live!!
