SR

I've been doing SR on Dictaphone EXText for nearly 4 years now. Absolutely love it. It took some time, 6 months to a year, but I've tripled my production.

I believe the program "learns" or is corrected of regular errors by someone physically making the corrections. We've had several of those with our docs, and most of them have been corrected over the years.

Not all of our docs are on SR. Yes, it is usually the better dictators but we have one oncologist who literally brought me to tears if I had to type his notes. Since he was put in SR, he is understandable. Sure, he is still difficult but I cry no more.

I do think SR has/will have an effect on MT. I've heard of several lay-offs in this area. Some claim it is the economy, some say EMR and some say SR. I think it is a combo of all of them.
