I too love being on my own, would hate to give that up and commute to a job.  Been at it for 13 years and am very content, well perhaps a bit spoiled, with this flexiblity!  I am pondering a new career in the second part of my life, I am 45, and my girls are grown and out of the house.  There is just nothing out there that would allow me to have a home office and earn the same amount of $$$. I have researched different avenues from coding, massage therapist, editing, journalism, etc.   I guess you could say I am suffering from analysis paralysis!
