she didn�t take off from work, went out of town and now could not get her work done. She works for someone who is expecting their work to be done - that is, duh, what is expected of a person when they do a job. She said if she could not get working they would be upset- her words, not mine. If you work anywhere - you owe your employer knowledge of the fact that you are going to be gone whether independent or not. Grow up!
