Simmer down? I'm OLD! J/K. sm

Bless your eyesight.  I've been wearing glasses since I was in 3rd grade!  I've done the contacts since high school and now I need reading glasses if I'm wearing my contacts or I need to take off my regular glasses to read if I'm not wearing my contacts.  It's totally thrown everything off and if I go from looking far away to looking close up it's like WHOA!  VERTIGO!  No money for bifocals, but I'm parking at least 3 feet from the curb in front of a store now because the old depth perception is going fast and driving at night in the rain is impossible unless I want to pay for a few mailboxes. I'm only 45!  Could be worse though.

My husband has better than 20/20 vision, but has had 85% hearing loss in both ears since he was a baby. $5000 dollars for 2 hearing aids, but he heard a bird sing the first time in his life when he got them  3 years ago..  Still paying off the hearing aids, so I can live with my glasses for a while so that he can listen to the birds.

I didn't realize what good eye sight I have, I guess.

PS cute post about the "retired" hosewife.--I didn't think they/we ever retired., something to look forward to.

Cook it real slow at real low heat; simmer, don't boil.
