I know the feeling. I had my 15 pin gameport pedal for less than 6 months when my sound card went out. The newer sound cards do not have the 15 pin game port any longer, so I was in the same position. Fortunately the company I had bought the pedal through, along with my digital voice player, allowed me to purchase a USB pedal for about half price due to this, which was nice, and I had it the very next day! Perhaps try to sell your current pedal and adaptor on ebay, as well, to try to recoup as much as possible? Just a thought. good luck to you.
