Someone please tell me what I need to change in NAV to get the left sided links back for the forums

I found over the w/e if I disable my Norton Internet Security and go to Tools, Internet Options, Delete Files and click on Delete All Off Line Content, and choose ok, I can get the links back on the left (in the blue area) but they won't stay. I assume I  need to change something in Norton's Internet Security, but what?? Does anyone know? I have tried lots of things and can't seem to find what it is that will make this a permanent change as it won't stay this way.

Please help. TIA.

How I got my links back (in the left, blue area!)

I went to Tools, Internet Options and deleted Files and Cookies (although I don't know as though this had anything to do with it as I have done this MANY times in the past). I then experimented with my Norton Antivirus. You must do this at YOUR OWN RISK! Down in the right-hand corner of my screen, I chose "Disable Norton Internet Security" which when I reloaded the Main page here (after I had gone and done the above steps in Tools) it didn't make a difference. So, then I went back down to Norton Internet Security and chose "Disable Antivirus Auto-Protect" and reloaded the main page here and BINGO I had the links all back! I then Enabled all my NAV I had disabled, reloaded the page again and everything is still there! So, if this happens again, at least now I know how to get it back.

I thought I would share this info as I know there are others out there that has experienced this same problem and I have done everything the administration has suggested and it did not resolve the issue. So, apparently it has to do with Norton and I am not clear why Norton Antivirus (I would expect it more to be an Norton Internet Security issue) but in any event I am elated it worked! I hope it will work for someone else as well - again at your own risk. :)

I hope this might help administration/moderators to help others as well in the future. :)

This just made my day! :D

I have never had links on the left side. I have always had to go back to the home page to get them.

Any word on why we have no forums at the left yet? nm

I have seen the forums in the left colum all along.
It is a javascript. Do you have javascript enabled?
links on left, but on my Dell I don't....nm

Is it just me, or have the links (on the left side) been eliminated?

I may have done something to cause how may page loads but I do not get the list of links, like the technical link, equipment, etc., showing up along the left side any longer. Is this a recent change or is is just happening to me because I did something??? If it is just me, how would I change it back. I can't get to any of the other forums unless I click on home and go from there. :(

TIA.

Links with blue background still on left side for me...

Don't change. I had to change back to cable. SuddenLink DSL stinks! nm

I might consider going back to the one I left -
but only if current MT management was booted out. I know that'll never happen, of course, and I'd rather be poor than ever work for that harpy again.
I left and came back-that is the part I should NOT

Left a message, still no call back.
Will call again today.
NOW IT WENT HUGER!!! CHANGE BACK?
oh no. Any idea how to change it back? Everything is gimungus, even my home page font. What a cruel joke. Is that what I get for complaining?
You're right, it's not going to change back to what it was, but

we can still be competitive. Why would medical professionals take the chance of offshoring their patient's medical records if it can be done right here in the US?  Competition. That's what our goal needs to be.

What shocks and amazes me is how so many American workers are so willing to just lay down and get screwed instead of adapt by being competitive.  Adapting doesn't mean you have to accept offshoring at all.

For those of you who see my point, kudos to you.  For those of you who don't, grow a brain.

That's another one -- ALWAYS saying 'go back and change that'
I wish I got paid by what I typed rather than what I send in; one doctor would be paying triple because he always goes back and rephrases what he has said, sometimes while he is saying it and a lot of times at the end of the letter, and I am supposed to figure out exactly which parts to take out and what to change and leave in.
Just ranting - - not expecting miracles; I know I can't change the way they dictate, but I can come here and rant about it!
No way - MQ is the pits, left 6 years ago and never looked back.
There is greener grass, believe me.
LOL! I was just coming back to change that to 1024. Thanks!

but don't worry - next year BOS will more than likely change it back! nm

All the stuff along the left hand side disappeared. How do I get that back.

I've worked for svl places that said to change it back to 100% before sending, so it must affect

Just open glo file in Word, highlight all, then change case and save back
to glo file. Use the Alt key trick to highlight just the column of words, then Shift + F3 to toggle through the change case commands. First save your glossary under a different name so you also keep the original.
probably a very one-sided marriage...sad...nm

My migraines are usually one sided.
Usually never have the whole head hurt at once, but that one side is bad enough to be two.
Tired of ONE-SIDED contracts that say one thing...
and mean another, always written in contradictory terms to the benefit of the MTSO... I am tired of ONE-SIDED contracts. want to work for what I am worth!!!!!
Obviously the poster has a tunnel-vision one-sided view of Walmart.
Facts confuse and confound Walmart haters. They watch a piece on TV and think they know it all. Sad really because they think they can change the world with bias with their little news groups and posts that are so illogical and not thought out at all to present an reasonable argument.

Bottom line is most retail stores hire part time. They import goods from outside the US. They avoid paying benefits by hiring part time. They pay minimum wage or close to minimu wage. They hire unskilled workers with very little education or people who are retired or trying to make a little extra to supplement another income.

I see no unhappy people at any Walmart I have shopped at, workers or shoppers.
Left click on the taskbar and drag it back to the bottom. Once you've done that, right click on

put your mouse on the bar, hold down the left side of your mouse and move it back to the bottom, let
hope this works
Even 4.5 is too low. doctors do not change - they still hem and haw, change, change stuff along wit
It is just not enough for the work. Speech is great on the wrists but you are not just reading what is typed, you are making a lot of changes. I have a hard time doubling a lot of days with all the changes I have to make. Just my opinion.
Just hit Alt+Shift+left arrow on line 1 and it will go to the left margin. Otherwise,
you need to use a numbered list style to do it every time. Each version is different, but you may already have a numbered list style in yours that stays at the left margin. Just assign a keyboard shortcut to that style.
Change provider vs change to business plan

In your place, I would seriously consider changing providers if there were others available in your area, but I'd ask around about their service quality first.  It may not be any better.  If there are no other providers, then consider changing your service package to a business account rather than residential.  They're usually more expensive, but they also tend to get faster service if there's a problem.

Last summer, I had no electricity for 3 days due to severe storms, but there were some 600,000 in the same boat with me.  We just had to wait it out.  It's a downside of working at home.

Not just here, but on other forums
people have nothing better to do that trash others.
FORUMS!!
Tired! Yes, I spent "forever" over there. Those are truly special and I found myself "lost in the forum world" and before I knew it over an hour had gone by! Now, the trick is to save up some quality time to learn what I want it to do for me, what I already know and how it applies to that program, and then learn what I need to know and USE IT! Do you use it with IT? I think I want to go over to those forums again right now and I need to stop myself because it is 11:15 and I have to get up early! I don't know, but I may stay up all night if I dare go there! I saw where someone on the forum wanted to import their glossaries and other lists and had trouble, but do you know if you can save your glossaries as text files and import them that way like in RN? I really miss DOS too, and find that finding paths in Windows is not too straightforward in every case, but still am looking forward to finally letting go of my "obsession" with PRD and DOS. I guess I am old, but still it worked so well and it wasn't "broken" so why did they change everything to Windows stuff? Could you hear the whine in that? Sorry! I need to shut up now and either go to bed and get sleep or go over to that forum and learn stuff! Thanks again for making my entire year with that advice!
Yes, distractions such as forums are
real time/line-stealers. I'm not working today and have some online research to do so I'm here today more than usual.

Good luck!
Did you look under forums on this site?
There is a new site for Billers/Coders.

Does anyone know of any legal transcription forums

The nastiness had some attention on other forums, and seems to (SM)
have toned down. Good Luck! Small steps add up to big things. And, "Well-behaved women rarely make history."
This issue has gotten out of hand. See the available forums to

the left and if your question or comment fits in any of those categories, please post there.  Perhaps you do not understand how the back end of discussion forums operate, but simply put, when one forum is jammed with posts it bears heavy on the server.  This is why we have a variety of boards to choose from.

Thread locked.

I just think boards/forums are a place to hit

Did you try going to the general escription forums?
Is it Willie that moderates it? Anyhoo, someone in there asked about getting a USB adapter a while back. Maybe one of the techs can help you. I would LOVE to be able to use my laptop with a pedal.
change attitude, change life
The first thing you need to change is that defeatist attitude! I know that's hard at times like this, but that's when you need to most.
I won't go into detail, but my financial situation is also at an all-time low, we couldn't even exchange gifts., daughter in hospital twice, & no med insurance)..but then I heard about how much worse things were for others around me this season. Now I'm thankful instead!
It is hecka good. All over the geek help forums

I've got it on trial right now myself, and it has cleaned up some stuff for me that AVG, SpyBot, and Ad-Aware passed right over.

First free trial of something on-line I've had that I think I really am truly inspired to buy after all (whenever I can afford it).

I've used it. There are a ton of knowledge base forums out there
where you can research your results.
Do a Google search for comments on other forums. Don't think they

There are several forums to post on at the Religion link.
I wouldn't call it "fragmented".  The poster can ask his/her question on more than one religion board and receive a variety of responses in which to make an informed decision.
And they can by either posting on the Religion forums or contacting the Administrator.
