Sometimes...sm

Each company is different.

Sometimes you enter things like patient name, date, etc., once and it then generates on a header on each subsequent page and you aren't paid for those subsequent headers, but are for the first page.

Other companies require you to fill out an identification *screen* with all the patient info, date of birth, date of service, referring doc, etc... and none of that is paid for.

You'll have to ask your particular company what their policy is.

I work for MQ and have done some accounts where the ADT (patient information) screen contained things such as blood pressure, height, weight, temperature, etc., that had to be entered by the MT and was not counted. Generally, in most accounts at MQ, the ADT screen is generated by the computer, so are not paid to the MT... which I don't have a problem with... If I don't transcribe it, I shouldn't expect to be paid for it... but in the case of MQ, when you are required to enter things like cc names and addresses you should be paid for them... and things like vital signs... well, that's just unbelievable that you should enter those in without getting paid for them.

Check with your company, verify, and know what you're being paid for.
