Thank you SO much!! It definitely helps. If indeed I were to ever be in that situation again, I want to feel like I can evacuate and stay in a hotel and be prepared. I was alone in my house as it was blowing apart and that is not something I want to relive. So, if something is headed this direction, I want to feel comfortable knowing that I don't have to stay. On top of that, as you mentioned, air conditioning and a nice shower become invaluable in those situations. I also have two cats that became very ill being in the lovely 100 degree weather with no AC that I would want to take with me. So, I wouldn't mind having to spend the money on a hotel, as long as I could earn some money while doing it.
I also agree with you that it is important to be prepared to continue working. As I found out in Charley, just because we're out of order, doesn't mean the hospitals are, and even though they should be considerate of the situation, they have a business to run.
Again, thank you very much for your ideas. I really do appreciate it.
