I'm sorry that I don't have any answers for you, but I thank you for sharing this experience on this forum.  If and when I ever go out on my own, I will be sure to address this issue in the original contract.  If I were the original OP, I would find other clients, as if that's easy to do, and end the contract with the oppositional doctor and his partner.  I know this is easier said than done.  However, it reminds me of a doctor-patient relationship in which the doctor will drop the patient like a hot potato if the patient complains much.  The doctor and his staff seem to think that he and they can be adversarial with you, while you will just keep on working for them?
