Thank you for your suggestions. You may have noted I made a post earlier today regarding Sprint and EVDO.

I have made a lot of calls in the last week or so to cell phone providers and Verizon told me there is no coverage in my area from them. I called a Sprint dealer today and I learned that they offer the EVDO at $39.99 for 40 MB, unlimited, and the card for my ExpressCard slot on my laptop would cost $49.99. I feel this is quite reasonable.

When speaking with the Sprint sales person, he put my address in their computer system and it showed coverage for my area so I am planning to go tomorrow and get this. If it doesn't work or I don't like it, I can return it within 14 days for a refund.

I think I will really like the faster speed (since all I have ever had his dial-up as that is all that has been available to me) but also that I can take my laptop with me and work in many places. I realize many places I may not get a good signal, but it is my understanding Sprint is going to be adding a lot more coverage area by the first of the year.

Thank you again.  :)
