It helps so much to hear some feedback saying that they had some pretty high expectations.  I am still relatively new to the MT game and this was my third job.  I still have my first two and I was just adding this third to get enough work to make a living.  My first two jobs, as far as I know, are very happy with me.  When this this third company came back to me and told me that I just wasn't catching on fast enough and that I was making "simple mistakes", I thought, "Am I really this dumb?"  A person knows better, you know?  But you still question yourself.  It helps so much to hear someone else say that those expectations were a bit much.  Each thing that they told me was something new and I would incorporate it into my next set of reports, adding to what had been told to me previously (all formatting issues, not terminology).  I wonder how I was supposed to know things that had not been told to me yet?  They told me that "9 sessions of proofreading is quite a bit".  Anyway, yes, it probably was a blessing that I didn't get anymore "into" the job than I did.
