It happens with all groups, everywhere, anytime…
this post was like if you let your children go to daycare, see what happens. The world has become so evil that it just does not apply to if you have your children in day care. Remember about the mother in Texas, stay at home, who drowned her 5 children at 1 time. Beautiful children and yet a mother no less. You cannot just say not on my watch. That is what I was speaking about. I think lots of people have their heads in the sand thinking just home front is safe and secure.
They are 2 private groups. SM
What exactly do you want to sue them for?  Your post makes no sense.

    Favorite Artists/Groups
I love Rob Thomas, Maroon 5, Constantine Maroulis (AI season 5), Barry Manilow (don't laugh now), Phil Collins, Elton John and a lot of the AI gang. In fact, I'm off now to see them in Rochester.
Who R your fave music artists/groups?
I looove Joni Mitchell, Karla Bonoff, Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Dixie Chicks, Elton John, Beatles, Eminem...
My kids hated organized sports and groups. They

are both social, happy kids, but enjoy spending their spare time with Lego's, pets and especially reading. My 5th grader reads at an 11th grade reading level and my freshman reads well beyond college level. Both enjoy school very much and are on the Challenge tracks, A's and B's. But I think they have learned how to entertain themselves and enjoy a slower pace because we don't have a T.V. Definitely gears down the speed of life.

Lots of HMO's are owned by religious groups these days -

sure i was. i'm making fun of the people who are making a case for background checks, etc
to do medical transcription at home as if they may do something AWFUL with the info they receive. So if you want an invasion of privacy let's REALLY invade it and make sure fat chicks don't transcribe because they are so busy eating they can't get the work done, they mess up the keyboard with food and if they are provided health insurance they will raise the rates for the company sky high because their health risks are higher than others. Then there are the psychological issues overweight people bring to the table. After we eliminate fat people, we can go on to eliminate diabetic people who may have low blood sugar while typing and go into a spell and type the wrong thing. I could go on and on through the process of elimination. How about prescribed medications that may cloud your thinking? So you take Ambien to sleep but you have an Ambien groggy hangover when you are transcribing? Should they transcribe. How about your teens are on your last nerves and you take a Xanax? Should you be allowed to transcribe?

What kind of skin infection? I have had good luck with Betadine for certain things.

    skin types
It does depend on the skin type and the type of laser machine they used. Many of them do not do darker skin. They all do tend to work better on lighter skins. I have dark hair due to a hormone imbalance my whole life since childhood. Dark hair on my arms, etc. Some laser brands of machine are better than others. Let me know if you decide you want information on the one I work for or I can give you the name of the top selling laser brand out there that I would recommend from what I know.
    skin care
I was hooked on Almay skin products (one reason because they have no scent) until about 6 years ago and discovered jafra.  It is SO awesome.  i use the day cream, night cream, and cleansing cream.  My friends always remark on my skin being so soft and clear (and I'm 55 !). I can't stand to ever be dry!  Have lotion on my desk, night stand, etc.
    skin care
I used Mary Kay for all my skin care/makeup, although for just a natural look I do use the Bare Minerals foundation sometimes.

it's very drying to the skin, and I can't imagine
making my puppy or dog uncomfortable with dry skin.

Just try it, wash your hair or body in DAWN soap and you will be itching like crazy. It dries your hair out horribly, leaving you with flyaway frizzy hair. But talk about itching, OUCH AND UNCOMFORTABLE.

Sorry, but that's just how I feel.

My cocker spaniel has a skin condition.
Her claws are brittle and long, her paw pads are thickened, she's itchy and smelly, and she has dead skin cells built up in the same areas you described.  We did the antibiotics, steroids, allergy meds, and everything else without good results.  I put a stop to it when the vet wanted to do $1,000 worth of tests and biopsies.  (And switched vets!)  The first vet called it allergies, seborrhea, keratinitis, and a bunch of other guesses.  She also has mattery eyes and frequent ear infections.  We rescued her from the pound 10 years ago, so she's an old girl.  I have to keep her shaved and wash her with either a prescription shampoo or Neutrogena T-gel.
    skin care products and allergies

I used another product that is sold on QVC by a lady doctor in September.  Overnight I developed a horrible burn on my face that nearly closed both eyes.  My skin was so red under my eyes that I looked like I had two black eyes.  I believe it was a chemical burn caused by some ingredient in that product.  It is now December 12, and I still suffer from a burning sensation and very red cheeks and sensitive eyes.  I have not used this product since that first episode, but I have used other products from other companies, with the same result.  I believe most of the upscale cosmetic and skin care products must contain the same ingredient that is too harsh for sensitive skin (obviously) and that may cause an allergic reaction.

I used bad judgment in not seeing a doctor with the first episode, thinking it would just go away.  Well it does go away and cycles and recycles again and again, with the same results.   I am not going through another cycle, and it is at the stage of just returning.  It will get increasingly worse over the next two or three days and then start to subside, leaving my skin feeling like leather, peeling slightly under my eyes.  I have bags under my eyes that I never had before.

I guess sooner or later I'll just get sick of all this and finally get a referral to a dermatologist before I suffer permanent, irreversible damage, if that has not already occurred.

I believe perhaps the ingredient is either salicylic, glycolic, or  lactic acid, which seems to be the hot ingredient in skin care these days.  I've used retinol products in the past without a problem, but I guess we can all develop allergies to anything.  I've also used glycolic acid cleansers in the past without a problem.  Again, allergies can certainly crop up in anything.

Incidentally, I have a friend who used Avon night cream recently who woke up with a face full of pimples, too!

    excess skin after weight loss
Did you then have surgery to remove the sagging skin? I need to lose 140 lbs, which I have packed on over the past 20 years. I never weighed over 112 lbs. or wore larger than a size 3 (!!) until I turned 30. My lifestyle changed (not for the better) at that point, and I basically lose interest in how I looked. Now, at age 51, my health is seriously in trouble due to my obesity. What am I going to do with all the excess skin? I already have a big fat pouch under my waist, and above my waist I look like I'm 7 months pregnant! Are there any health insurance plans that will pay for surgery to remove the leftover skin? I see people on Dr. 90210 having the surgery, but I bet they have to pay out of pocket and I bet it's tens of thousands of dollars.
    sagging skin after weight loss
Thanks for much the info about plastic surgery. I guess the only way to look at it is this: My health and life are in danger if I don't take this weight off. Whether or not I'm left with skin hanging down to my ankles (I hope I'm exaggerating!), at least I'll be alive and have more energy and flexibility. Guess I should cross one bridge at a time. :) I've decided to start Michael Thurmond's Lifestyle Change course. Ordered the whole kit from HSN (or maybe QVC), and truly think I can do it. Have never tried any diets in the past. Was in denial about my weight for the longest time...kept thinking it was a "phase." Ha-ha! You know how formerly anorectic people still think of themselves as fat? Well, I'm an stress-overeater in denial, and I still think of myself as thin...until I see myself in the mirror. Yikes!
So far, not much loose skin, but you do need to do toning exercises
and work out with weights to help prevent that.

and NO I hate snakes... don't like spiders either, but easier to kill.. I of course being the one that cannot stand the things, found one in my basement either last year or the year before, which dh went around and insulated, boarded up around the ceiling down there.. well, where he thought they might could get in.. ewww, just gives me chills .. have you got somewhere you can go until your hubby gets home?? Thank God mine was home that day, I have wondered what in the world would I do if I come across one & him not here?? shutter to think.. hope it is out or something else preferably that made the noise

John T is a great disappointment to me. He is bloated and looks like he is about to pop with skin s
A poster below said John T looks like he swallowed the original lean and mean handsome John from Urban Cowboy days. I agree. But it could be worse. He could be bald I guess. Back in the day I could watch his movies over and over especially Saturday Night Fever and Urban Cowboy. Now it's just sad. He seems a characture of his former self. Kind of on his way to Marlon Brando state of aging.
I must be weird, but he makes my skin crawl, right along with G. Clooney.

Guess it depends on how porous his skin is-- try cold cream maybe? - sm
My kids have done all sorts of stuff, usually the face cleans up except for red in my experience...fades over a week or so. But cold cream is good for make up so maybe it will work, if you don't have any handy maybe a thick moisturizer? Obviously the hands are not an issue since they won't be in the picture, you can always try a liquid make-up if it doesn't come off and if the make up does not look weird. Good luck.....you can always keep him home or arrange for him to do the make-up picture for kids who are sick...they always have a make up picture day...find out when it is and just do it then.
I dunno. I sure do miss my Selectric and those onion-skin copies. nm

Just having it on his eyes sounds like another thing that is going on here.  Except people are just having their FEET AND ANKLES TURN RED AND FEVERISH...looks like gout, but it is actually a problem with some reaction the thyroid or parathyroid is having to something.  Very strange but folks here are having it like crazy -- and with it are a lot of muscle cramping.  Isn't it odd that the feet would be affected by the thyroid or parathyoid.>?

So, I could see where something you'd never think could be affecting just his arms.  Tell us more.

    making up.....

I suggest you have your father read my post and explain it to you.  Apparently you have poor comprehension skills.  Talk about ignorance.

My point was NEW immigrants who come here not to become American.  Obviously, this is not apply to all NEW immigrants, because as we know, many of them bust their butts to become American in every way including service in the military.  My point was that so many of the NEW immigrants, meaning those from the last 25-30 years, come with different aspirations than previous groups.  This is documented by social scientists who have been studying this very point for a couple of decades.  Look up some articles in any journal of American sociology or political science and you will find research on this subject.

I am perfectly aware of New Spain and New France and even that Russia once owned parts what is now Washington state and Oregon.  Do the people in Northwest US demand to have legal papers printed in Russian because 400 years ago, Russia settled that land?   Are you aware of the language controversy in Quebec, Canada?  We don't need that in this country and having English as our accepted common language has helped prevent some of the fighting and death that results from people coming to blows over language.  Language is the root of "the Troubles" as the Irish call their 100 years of conflict with England.  England passed a law making English the official language and forbad Gaelic in public places, including schools.  Look how that has worked for them.   In the U.S., it has worked because it has been understood as a custom and new immigrants were proud to learn English, because it was a mark of American citizenship.

You need a history lesson - New Spain was SOLD to the U.S. government  and New France was sold to the U.S. government by their respective kings because France and Spain needed money to finance their wars with each other.   So, Spain left voluntarily.

BTW, my brother wrote my parents in English during WWII and his letters were confiscated - is there a group that will protest such actions again Irish-German Americans?

    I am making......
17.00 per hour with a home-based hospital job (you have to be local to the hospita) PLUS a generous incentive with a "quite easy to attain" minimum line count and then 8 cents a line after the minimum is met.  Plus I have all the benefits of being an employee (which I am) including paid vacation and benefits.  I've been the national route and I didn't find any of them to be paying well, plus I was always running out of work.  We are swamped all the time and NEVER run out at the hospital.  If we do run out, which has never happened, we can go into the department and shred paper or something.  I wish more hospitals would go back to having a department.  That's where you'll find your dignity IMHO.
You were making LESS than THIS????

    Making more now
I worked for a hospital for 5 years and then we moved... tried another national who didn't pay much, and then started with OSi and am making more than I ever have (including 25 years of secretarial work)! I've read so many negative posts here about OSi, but I think those who have complaints tend to voice them more than those who don't. I'm very happy with them as far as money, schedule, and flexibility. I know from reading previous posts that many will assume I'm part of management just trying to give them a plug. No, I'm not part of OSi management. Just a very happy transcriptionist.
    Men Making More LOL
That is because they choose wisely and don't accept just anything. I am female and quite often make more than most women. Having been in the MT business for only 3-4 yrs I am constantly amazed at the rates offered and accepted, and the lack of understanding at the complexity and enormity of education required to do this job. When someone offers me a low salary I tell them what I think of it and just go on to the next company. I have always known why there aren't a lot of men in MT work - the salary. In places where typing pays decent $$$ there are tons and tons of men.
    making the big $$$
I was actually referring to the above posts that state they are making $50 to $60K per year.
    Making $100,000/yr?
Is that really possible without having your own service?
    ya know, when I'm making

70k a year, I can have the 850 square foot bedroom if I want. In fact, my home is a mere 2200 square foot, on 5 acres in the country, only worth $450,000 but I paid off the mortgage in full in 7 years, by- yep, you guessed it-- working my MTSO.  I have no debts. I own 4 cars. I have money stuffed in my 401k. The point was made in an earlier post by our beloved Patti, who chooses to live in 1000 square feet - and also put 15K in her retirement account and takes home 50K. When Patti mentioned her home was 1000 square feet, some ignorant troll said  (now say this in a high falsetto) "shocked! my bedroom is 850 square feet! How can you possibly live in only 1000 square feet."  Jealous, no. Anyone who wants to own, maintain, clean their 850 square foot bedroom can be my guest. Me - I go for a little smaller but still nice, with more freedom and lifestyle. That's why I put in my 5-10 hours a week running my service while you're working full time. LOL!

What we SHOULD be making, and what most of us ARE making (sm)
are two different things. We SHOULD be getting from 12-18 cents per line. In reality, most of us are somewhere between 7 and 9 cents a line.
