This is how I look at it....

I am an MT, not an interpreter. If I were an interpreter, I would be at the UN making bucco bucks! 

Second. it is not my fault, nor does it make me a substandard MT, because these doctors CHOOSE to dictate faster than the sound of speed so that it is humanly impossible to understand what they're saying. This is the choice THEY make, so the end result will be getting a transcript back that looks like swiss cheese because I just REFUSE to guess.

They don't want to spend the need needed to dictate clearly?  Well guess what?  I don't have enough time to spend, nor do I want to, to try and figure out what they're saying and make less than minimum wage while doing so.

Like I said - garbage in, garbage out - that's MY stance!
