You just keep adding and adding. I have used the same glossary for like 10 yrs in 3 different Expander programs. Smartype for Word has glitches the DOS version did not and there are expansions that just plain don't show up, but I find that they do in InstanText, so I like that program as well or better even, but it is the same glossary.

I am constantly *finding* expansions that were written into my basic glossary that I didn't use or didn't think about or perhaps never needed until now. I also ADD expansions on a daily basis, yes even after 10 yrs it can be better than it is!

I have some phrases that are doctor specific or even account specific, but I have tons and tons of "generic" things too. I don't drop in lines and lines of text, I use short codes that are fairly consistent in their patterns, so I never memorize, I just remember the coding rules for my 20,000 expansions (and growing). I do more typing than some people do with their expanders, I think, but perhaps not. I don't believe that dropping in large blocks of text at a time is a good thing because you can lose your attention to what is going on and you can make errors. By typing a bit more, perhaps, I have 99% and better accuracy and a decent speed (300 lph on an account with 75% ESLs, OPs only). The sole goal of an expander cannot be speed, but speed AND accuracy.

Oh and by the way...autocorrect is a very poor version of an expander, buy a real program.
