felt an obligation to do what work they gave me. I have never felt like I could just do what I wanted. I guess I could but I felt bad like I was putting them in a bind if I didn't do the work when asked. Unless sick I always did it.
As far as the future of ICs in this industry. I think a lot of the smaller companies will keep ICs because they don't want to have to provide benefits and they don't want to be obligated to provide work when things get slow. Now as far as the bigger nationals, I would say I could see them leaning more toward employees to make sure they met TATs and such. But I could be wrong. Who knows? ;)
