I was also able to evidently keep my own prejudice hidden from my son, and now my new grandson is the light of my life; but I do worry. Prejudice is just pure hatred, and I fear for him, and his birth has allowed me to do a lot of self reflection and grow a little, learn a little. No I was not thrilled that my son prefers to date out of his race, but he is my son and I had two choices to abandon him or accept it, I chose the latter.
