nanny state is going to make you more professional? Good grief. Do you really think these 2 organizations have led the fight to protect heathcare information, what with their pushing offshoring? No, it's all about their greed, just like offshoring is about greed. Who does the credentialing? Where does and will the money go and to whose benefit is it financially to push credentialing for thousands upon thousands of U. S. MTs?

That you would equate nail techs with transcriptionists as an example to prove your poing just shows how easy it is to brainwash so many.

When the MTSOs allow you to study during your shift time, test durng shift time, and pay for the credentialing itself, why should any MT take their hard earned money and their own personal time to achieve credentialing that gains them nothing more than 0.05 or 0.01 cpl? I know too many darned good MTs who are not CMTs, who have no desire to be certified, and who will have nothing to do with the organizations that have destroyed this profession.

If you want to be certified, go for it. Will certification make you keep your commitments to lying MTSOs, will certification keep one from having to work 2 jobs, will certification elevate our profession and generate a livable wage, will certification protect healthcare information, will certification make us look better in the eyes of greedy MTSO owners who treat us like crap now, will certification STOP MTSO owners' lies about plentiful work when there is none, and will certification keep MTSOs from offshoring?
