Hourly QA seems to range $13-18/hr. with rare few making

Charge him an hourly rate. The current rate is
between $15-21/hr. according to your location. If he had to use an independent secretarial service, he would be charged much more. You can look in the Yellow Pages in your area under Secretarial Service and ask them what they charge, then charge accordingly knowing you can back it up.
The going rate to charge a client for rad by an MTSO is in the $4.50 range.
Need to figure in what type of reports, etc. Never go below that - there is a lot of administrative work to do.
That is a low hourly rate. I would look
elsewhere. That is below normal.
hourly rate
What is the going HOURLY rate for a MT (independent contractor) that would be competitive.
I would take the hourly rate.
a
hourly rate
On the east coast the hourly rate it $14 - $20.
Hourly rate
Not sure my last post worked or not. Hourly rates fluctate around the country, however, in South Florida, the average hourly rate is 12 an hour and then each company/hospital then uses their own benefits/production bonus programs.
hourly MT rate
I did 5 months in-house this year after 10 years at home, and was paid $15.00 here in Joplin MO.

What is your hourly rate? nm
-
wow that's a very high rate for hourly isn't it?
I would assume most don't make that with production? I dont know...

The in house job offered for the hospital was about $14.00 an hour. I feel ripped off!
I think your hourly rate pays for whatever they want you to do.
If they want you to answer phones or sweep the floor or transcribe office notes or give shots or any combination of jobs.

They are paying for your time.

If it were me, I would have a separate hourly rate that
I would charge for things such as that, and keep a total of the time you spend doing this, but definitely bill them!!
Calculate your hourly rate for transcribing

and charge them that, i.e., if you normally do 200 lph at 8 cpl, charge them $16.00 an hour.

That's what I would do.

Nothing. Never take line rate for editing. Take hourly only.
You will never make any money by the line editing if you are doing true editing.
I would charge an hourly rate in this situation.
Good luck.
Two of my clients pay me an hourly rate, probably do in most part because (sm)
I have longstanding business relationships with both of them, having worked in their office years ago, so they know my work ethic very well.
That's a typical hourly rate for remote
I personally wouldn't drive that far for it.
hourly rate for non-medical transcription
Hi,

You asked about rates...I charge 125.00 per recorded hour of audio and have no problems getting work.

WOW! Great Hourly Rate For Editors - Over $14 to Start!!!!
I just started working for Soft Script in Calif. as an editor for 0.05 per line.  I found this was not enough money for me (even though I accepted it to get my foot in the door) and talked to the senior vice-president Joann who gave me a great hourly rate.  They must do this for all their editors.  Today QA, tomorrow the rest of the company!!!! Can anyone tell me more good things about Soft Script and your experiences????  I am jazzed and enthused to learn more about this comapny and look forward to hearing from you all.
Personally, I wouldn't touch an hourly rate of under 18.00.

I have friend who works as editor, gets hourly rate and does
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Can anyone tell me the average hourly rate or annual salary for sm

in-house hospital employee around Carmel Valley?   Hourly range or annual salary.

Thank you so very much for any information!!

I think you would have to charge an hourly rate for this type of work.

If you are working at an hourly rate in a hospital setting, then you are
going to be in for a shock when you go to production rates. Most of the in-house positions were farmed out years ago. If you were lucky to secure an in-house position for this long, consider yourself blessed.
They were going pay me an hourly rate, training pay. It doesn't matter, I just tested for two ot
and I did pretty well.  I should get a couple of offers in the next couple of days, hopefully -- I don't want to be overly confident because if I learned anything out of all this it is don't count your chickens before they hatch and don't put all your eggs in one basket.
Proof positive that an hourly rate would eliminate those types of situations.

Is $15 an hour a good hourly rate for an in-house office position?

I think 8 is the going rate these days- sm
I have 7 years experience now and that is the most I have made except for some per diem work. I get 8 on most my accounts, 7 on a couple smaller ones but I have a lot of stuff in templates and in my expander. I do the same 8 doctors all the time, and just added one more so I can get my checks up to $1K every 2 weeks. Sure I would love more money but doubt it is going to happen any time soon. Just bought IT so hope that makes a bit of a difference for me, will load it up over the weekend. As for what you can do and how fast you are that is great. I would not change your situation for anything.
Average line rate including spaces these days for experienced MTs is
pp
You don't get paid an hourly rate you get paid by line - sm
so because of how you are paid (not an hourly rate) you don't get OT, especially if you are an IC.
30 hours divided by four days equals seven-hour days. Most of us have to work pretty much every day
.
Working 6/hour days, 5 days/week I make
$42,000.00, but the work is there to make more if I want to.  I'm in the southeast.
Pay range here is $13 to $19 ...
depending on experience, with a 1200 minimum per day line count. Lines exceeding 12,000 per 2-week pay period are paid as an incentive bonus at a rate of 5 cents per line. VERY strict QA department, so quality does not suffer. Seasoned transcriptionists easily exceed 20,000 lines (therefore make an additional $400 for the extra 8000 lines).  Combined with the benefits and being allowed to work on-site or at home, it's hard to beat hospital employment in my area.
Dollar range and thanks.. sm

Trying to stay around not more than 275,000.  Would like 3 bedrooms, and 2 to 2.5 baths with an office or fourth bedroom for work.  A pool would be nice.  When we were there about three weeks ago all the new tracts were on lotteries or about a one year wait to build.  Don't really wanna hassle with the lottery since I don't live local.  How about Palm Valley?  Is that a nice place?  What would you say is the community with the best schools.  My priority is location, schools, price, community amenities, not too far from everything so hubby does not have a monstrous commute, etc.

Thanks so much for answering, it is really nice to get opinions from people who actually live there.

I do all ER work and am in that LPH range. nm

That is a fair range...sm
I make a bit more but cover everything, not just any one thing. Hourly is the way to go to keep anyone as there is a LOT of time involved in trainng MTs, time to write feedback, etc., which I would guess you know assuming you have been doing it yourself up until now.

I have worked line rates in the past. Anything less than 0.06 you cannot make a living on unless you work 15-20 hours a day as the accounts would ALL have to have perfect dictators and your MTs seasoned on the well side to make a reasonable living in the MW.
I have looked around and the range for pay is
.60-.75 and the range to charge if you own customer is .80-.95. Sad but true :(
She has a really narrow range. sm
She also sings off key a lot.  Paula has been hard on her for a reason. She shouldn't be where she is.  She's very attractive and I think that has gotten her a lot of votes like a lot of the very little talent out there like jessica simpson and brittney spears, getting by on looks and not talent.  If she beats Taylor, then I will lose all respect for this show.
Salary range

The 2-year assistant degree salary starts at around $30,000 here (the same as a beginning teacher).  The PT master's degree starts at around $60,000 per year here; other areas of the country, of course, are likely to vary.   I already have a bachelor's degree; I'm going for the master's, but I don't know how long the waiting list is.

Not sure, but they are costly; in the 300 to 400 range. If I
.werewere going to make that purchase, it certainly wouldn't be for use with transcription, but rather listening to ROCK-N-ROLL!
Do you mind if I ask what their pay range is?
Just a general range, not specific.  I don't care if a company is located on Mars either if their pay rate is good and they always pay on time.
PRICE RANGE

I think you would be very ambitious and over-reaching if you charged 15 cents a line to think that you were competing with the nationals.  It sounds like she is new to transcription and has no way to gauge what she should charge.  If she is by herself, she is not going to be able to handle a clinic account or a hospital account by herself.  They will give her over 5000 lines a day.  She needs to be realistic on what she can handle before she thinks about what she can charge them.

Any idea the pay range?
x
2000 low days, 4000 busy days
Did 43,000 lines last month.   6 doctors.
You can "make a living" if you work 16-hr days, 7 days
and if you rarely buy anything but food and the barest essentials in clothing. My balancing act is so precarious that all it'll take is one of life's little disasters (rent increase, sick pet, major car repair) to pull the rug out from under me. Not a good feeling at all.
What's your dollar range? I live not too far from there.

Foot range of motion

I think he is referring to range of motion when he says 5,0,8,0,3,8,2????

Thanks Patti-Nice to have at least a range

Nice to have at least a range as a starting point.  The cpl you gave is close to what I was guessing the rate would be.  Thanks for your reply!

..maybe different now. Gave a range of what pay would be. Wouldn't pin down a cpl until after

FT range out here is 32-40 hrs. depending on company. nm
