I agree 100% with you.  Some of these gals do not know what it takes to run the business no matter how large or small.  There are a lot of unbillable hours put into the business -- you hit it right on target.    Thank you.

Someone who understands!
Yes, I use my space and electricity. My company only pays me 10.50 an hour, but according those downtrodden, condescening MTs, I should be happy for that and not complain. My job pays my monthly Internet bill, that's all. All I am asking is a few hours in the middle of the day off. I don't think that's unreasonable.
Everyone who has their own accounts understands...sm
If you are self employed and are not actually their employee, start looking for someone to help you.  This is your business and it's up to you how it gets done.  If you can't do it all by yourself, just try to get some help.  Any good MT usually ends up with more work than she can handle.  You could also hire someone to pick up your tapes and deliver the work back.  Just decide which would help the most, maybe both, and put an ad in your local paper.  It would also help immensly to get them to go digital, but that may not be a possibility.
MT30 understands her post. I can read sm
I also understand the problems you mention of staffing. But, appalled didn't bring those up at all. She is only thinking of herself. Glad you explained that to her.
