The actual transfer process is not secure unless you're using sftp:// or an SSL transfer protocol. Therefore you should be encrypting the documents as well as the voice files.

Try Google for the phrase "secure FTP" for more information on the topic.

You are very misinformed.
Any truthful employment reference can be given. It may be inadvisable to go into too much detail but no former employee will ever win a defamation suit (and that is all they would ever have against an employer for a bad reference) if the information is truthful.

If you were terminated because you failed to show up for work, did not complete your work tasks, etc., and state this on a reference - it is NOT illegal and you won't have a case against me at all!

about Dragon. You can have a very high level of accuracy provided [1] you do the setup correctly, [2] you dictate correctly, and [3] you continue to train it every time you use it.

The drawback is the price ... but that can be said for a computer, a car, etc.

You're misinformed...sm
First, I'm not management, and I was probably transcribing when you were still of an age when your immaturity would have been understandable.

Second, I don't "lurk" - forum lurkers don't post, by definition.

Third, why not deal with the content of my post instead of trying to deflect an opinion that didn't happen to suit you?

I'll go a bit further than I went in my initial reply. I've found that people who resent supervision (calling it "spying on us", or other pejorative characterizations) are very often the people who need supervision the most. Conversely, the people who tend to have the healthiest view of supervision are very often the people you never have to supervise (oh, excuse me - "spy on") at all.
No, you haven't been misinformed. You are 100% correct. nm

I know that you are angry in this post, but you are grossly misinformed

The doctor billed you $500, but his insurance reimbursement is approximately 150 to 200 per case.  They don't get paid for the PE before this or the f/u visit to discuss results.  They cannot do 20 of these per day, well no a doctor that you would want treating your mother.  There are still office costs while they are over in the hospital doing procedures. Some office expenses run them 5000/day for help, equipment, rent, malpractice, etc.

Believe me, this doctor is not getting rich doing colonoscopies.
