I worked for this lady in Virginia and the job immediately started creeping up to 7 days a week, 18 hour days.  After two years when I developed health problems and told her I would need to start taking my two days off a week, I was told "if you can't keep up, I'll find somebody who will."   When I told her it was making me ill working that hard, she  told me "you don't know what hard work is."   I explained to her in no uncertain terms that it was HER business, NOT mine and I didn't sign up for 7 days a week.  When she ran her mouth again, I told her off and quit.  It was extremely difficult to leave a 1250. a week job and it was a major struggle, but worth it in the long run.  The day I quit, she cursed me out and told me I was nothing, that she would clear 50,000 biweekly regardless of if I was there or not.   Just goes to show you that in the long run, we really don't matter, no matter how hard we work.  Unfortunately the job I have not has gone from part time to once again 7 days a week, but I can't find even ONE Editor to help me out so I can get a day off.   It gets so incredibly old and I feel much more tired than my age (40s).
