BINGO
yep
Bingo!

I couldn't have said it better. That is exactly why they get away with this "crap".

1) Women are too good at putting up with crap.

2) Most transcriptionists are women. Most men would never tolerate what women will.

3) Too many women want to work at home and so put up with it so they can.

This is EXACTLY what is wrong with the industry. They get away with it because they can.

Bingo!

It doesn't prevent it from expanding but at least I can get it back to the word I want without a major hassle- thank you, thank you, thank you!!
BINGO!!

I suspect that they don't divulge your exact results because, in actuality, you passed the test, but they do not have the integrity to tell you why else they did not want to hire you, so they make up this story about how you failed the test.  You just might be too good for them, actually.  Or, maybe there was something in your application that indicated to them that you would not be easily pushed around and abused.  Think about it.

BINGO
I wish the moderator would check the IP of the OP at this point, just so we can all find out why she's so flipping infuriated over someone asking her if she were in India.

Sheesh, I'll be the Craig's List Killer didn't object this adamantly when accused of murdering someone, lol!

Yeah, I think 'Curious' did unintentionally hit a nail right on the head with her question. Only explanation for this and, as the poster above said, the longer the OP posts, the less American she's sounding.

Oy vey!!!
BINGO. Now we need to get that message OUT THERE!
Go sic 'em!
BINGO. It's all interrelated, all of it.

Bingo. A good tax consultant
Thank goodness I have a good one that knows what to write off, etc.  Misconceptions of IC in this field is very common.  I also do not agree with an IC being assigned work whether it be a certain amount of minutes or to work certain hours.  As an IC you have the choice to take the work and transcribe it or not.  As an employee, however, you may be required to transcribe a certain amount of work.  These MTSOs what their cake and eat it too.  They want to write off your pay as a "subcontractor", because they are the contractor, plus expect a certain quota.
Bingo about the phone. I forgot to mention that sm

I bought a Tracfone just for emergencies.  Everyone that knows me knows not to call, or to leave a message if I'm working. My kids, the schools and my husband have the cell number and know to call me on that instead.  I've programmed all of the incoming numbers in so I know who it will be and just ignore the regular rings.

Example: Schools ring in as a siren, hubby rings in with a single long beep, rapper son rings in with a rap beat, daughter with year old twins rings in with the "Barney Song".  Other than that, I don't pick up period!

BINGO., It was moderately edematous turbinates. WOO HOO. many thanks.
