Just love dobermans - we got ours from Doberman Rescue of Mass, which is now gone, closet one is in New York I believe. Dobes get such bum raps, they love families, children. Mine was by my side 10-1/2 years. Her arthritis and degenerative disease of the neck got the best of her at her age of 12-1/2, so had to put her down. But, she was great with the kids and very protective of me and them when hubby was not at home.
