In Reply to: I was just notified my hospital is switching to DQS, any tips or warnings (sm) - quietmoods

Two things.  First, the DQS system is complicated to learn, but once you do, it is fairly easy to work with on a daily basis.  Being hospital based, you wil probably feel overwhelmed with all of the HUGE amounts of data they will present you regarding populating your demographic fields, and all of the"what-ifs."  Very complicated.

Second thing:  start putting out your resume.  MQ is famous for "keeping" the in-house transcriptionists at hospitals and then brainwashing hospital admin and middle management into putting the transcriptionists out to pasture.  I REALLY, REALLY hope that your situation is the exception, rather than the rule.  However, forewarned is forearmed, friend.  Watch your back.
