Especially the ones that whisper into the phone. Some of them sound like they are trying to be oh, so sexy. Very annoying.

In my experience (somewhat limited) it has been females.....they seem to change their mind a lot "transcriptionist, please go back......" I also thought foreign doctors would be the most difficult, but sometimes I seem to have more trouble with American dictators.

Black widows are shiny black, females have red spot
There aren't many males around. After the mate, the females eat them lol.
We have black widows galore here in Calif. I actually keep frogs in my yard (provide ponds for them) and they have made a big impact on the insect population.
Remember to always wear shoes (something I try to do).
