I suddenly can't do this either, although I could have sworn I've used contrl, shift, space before with EXText and it worked.
All that aside, I can get it to come in two ways.
First, just use the insert symbols, and insert the little circle in there where you need it. A bunch of extra steps, but it just worked for me.
Second, I can't seem to make a short cut key, because it says it already exists, just won't work for us. So what I did instead, was make an autocorrect from the insert symbol box, and used " ` " -- and now all I have to do is hit the ` and it will keep those two words together at the end of a sentence.
There may be an easier way to get this to come back on and work, but I don't know what it is either....but either of these two fixes worked for me....
