gas

I'm back. We are in the center of the state. Uprooted trees, roofs off, just got back lights in the city yesterday. Long distance is off, so I am not working today. Rumor that when gas runs out, no more for two weeks. I paid 2.71 a gallon at one station and 2.70 at another station to fill up. Lines are long and we are about 275 miles from the Coast. So many people for Louisiana and Coast. On the radio shows this morning, people from NOLA interviewed that were formerly with the mass transit system in NOLA were essentially reading off their resumes to anyone that could hire them. They have CDL's and heavy equipment experience. They want to work. Might not go back to NOLA until December. The aerial shots of downtown NO look like Beirut during the 70s. I can not even describe what the beach looks like. Pray for our state. You never hear the the people in the rural parts of the state, people in the bayous, and swamps. Just pray for MS and Louisiana. A way of easy living will never be the same.
