hah- what I would do different

I've been in this business 20 years.  If I knew then what I knew now?  I would 100% finish my bachelor's in nursing.  I have watched this career path go down the tubes.  I make one half of what I made ten years ago and have to fight for benefits.  The problem with this business is there is no union; we are better at writing then we are sticking up for ourselves and we get no respect.   Our jobs are going overseas probably more than any other one career path and because 98% are women we wave as we watch our jobs leave.  The instructor at the local college won't even teach transcription because she says the jobs are evacuating.  I would consider going into billing and insurance, but that area is sure to follow transcription.  I am taking classes at the local college and perhaps even go for my master's during the next two years while I slave away, trying to maintain my benefits and morale.... which are fading fast.  Wish I had better news.  If it is any consolation.....the career counselor at the college also said she discourages people from taking accounting -- says those jobs are being shipped overseas too.  I am considering physical therapy/occupational therapy as my next career...
