I dunno

If you are dressed modestly and stone cold sober and have the unfortunate coincidence of  being somewhere where there is a rapist or killer and you become his victim, I guess you were in the wrong place at the wrong time?  No, that's not true.  You would be a victim and that person who be wrong.  That is what everyone would say.  So, because she was drunk, she deserves it more?

I am not saying it didnt increase her chances of something bad happening. All I am saying is that she is still a murdered young woman, someone's daughter, and she STILL doesnt deserve to have her life taken away from her by some psycho.

Gee, I dunno...
why don't you ask these heterosexual pedophiles?
Dunno'
You've have to ask the supervisor.  I'm too busy typing to be running around asking the others how many lines they've type.  I just worry about myself, maybe something you should consider doing eh?
dunno - but I get 7.2 CPL for ME.....nm

I dunno
I have no idea, although I was kind of thinking along those same lines. This guy is killing me this week.
Dunno know if you should change. I still

I dunno... at my old job the doc does peck away at a PC - sm
to put a few things like BP, Wt., Resp., etc. into the EMR, but they also still dictate notes. Some are on templates, others are full-on, long office visit or H&P notes. Depends on the doc's style. Some work is still done in house, and a majority of it is sent out to services. I now work at a service, and my accounts all use an EMR. I still have mostly long, detailed notes from there, and the EMR seems to have only taken over the absolutely most simple & repetetive of standardized notes.
That is weird! I dunno why?

Relaxer $50
Wash and curly set $40 with 7 tip (I have extremely thick hair and its worth it)
Relaxer and rinse ($60) 10 tip for letting me be the first customer on Sat morning (6 am)
varies
I worked in house up until the year 2000.  In the NE area of the US I only made 9.00 an hour.  In Florida, I made 18.00 an hour plus 8 cpl per line bonus after 2000 lines per day.
Varies. 11p-7a, 12-8a, 9p-6a, somewhere in there. nm

It varies

I have one account that uses a 60-character line (including spaces) but they only pay 8 cents a line.

I worked for another account that did 65 (with spaces) and paid 10 cents.

Depends on what the client is willing to pay and how much profit the MTSO wants to make.

varies sm.
If you are with a company over 50 employees, have been there for 1 year, you are entitled to 12 weeks unpaid FMLA leave. Maternity leave is covered for 6+ weeks (depending on delivery method, complications, etc) by short term disability. Good luck!
It varies...
Generally speaking, the standard these days is 65 characters per line including spaces.  Some choose to bill by 55 characters per line, some by gross line, some 65 characters with no spaces, some by the page, and some by the minute.
Gee, I dunno. Maybe the way she tongue kissed
they did that a lot while growing up?
I dunno about that. My books are packed away and SM
I use Google all  the time - then again, I do only one type of work and I have many years' experience. If I got into something new, I'd probably have to dig them out myself.

I dunno if you're wrong or not...
or even a shrew or not. If it were me, though, and in fact it was me a couple of months ago, I'd not go out to lunch a couple of times to be able to get my keyboard. How much is this ergonomic keyboard you are needing anyway? When my ergonomic keyboard bit the dust a couple of months ago, I got on e-bay and got mine for $8.00 ($1.00 bid, $7.00 S&H). It came right away and my soreness and achiness for those few days went right away! But, even though this keyboard retails $50.00, I am wondering how much the one you want costs; way over $100.00? I guess what I'm getting at is I'd just take my kids to the park with Colonel Sanders AND get my ergomic keyboard too. I am sorry that your husband responded so coldly. My husband would bend over backwards to help find a for me to get the keyboard, but I can't see where I'd even make it his problem. I would just adjust my budget so I could get my keyboard and let my husband know what I was doing to be able to get it (and this is what I did a couple of months ago). I guess I don't see how this is such a huge issue; we're only talking about a couple of weeks, right? Of course your health and well-being is of great importance, and an ergonomic keyboard is a high priority because of your symptoms, but would it be that awful to adjust your budget just one time so you could get the keyboard? I guess I don't get to get out that much anyway, so missing a couple of lunches with friends wouldn't be that bad for me!

I've totally missed something here I am sure, right?

Anyway, I do hope your symptoms get much better soon; take care of yourself, especially regarding CTS.
I dunno about that - do you know what horseshoers make

It varies by county in NC
I live in Randolph County, NC and the high school kids here can miss no more than 10 days of school per year before they have to start making up time. The elementary kids can miss 20. If this kid has missed that much school, the school should be contacting social services or someone to get involved. In NC parents can be held responsible and even be put in jail for their children not attending school like they are supposed to. It is truancy and it is illegal.
Oregon -- really varies

11 t0 14 cpl small MTSO   12 to 18 large MTSO.  Really varies around here and also depends on whether you deliver, print, or all by digital.

It varies greatly...
Where I work the range is from 6 cpl up to almost 12 cpl so you just don't know. I guess decent is 10 or more. Anything less is not too good in my opinion especially considering I made 8 cents per GROSS line 10 years ago which would equal I don't know maybe around 11 cents per 65 character line and again that was 10 years ago. The only profession I know of where the pay continues to go down! Thanks technology! :(
Varies with the expander
As far as I know, there is no universal shortcut. Each text Expander has a hotkey that you can use to temporarily disable the program without logging out of it.
It varies. 65 is not always the # used. Some places
s
Varies by account

Not trying to make it completely confusing, but the BOS is a guideline and not really a hard and fast rule - at least that's what I've found.  I work PT for one company on a large clinic account and they want me to put what the doctor dictates, whether it be b.i.d., etc., or COPD or the like.  My FT job for another company has completely different guidelines - I have to expand b.i.d., a.m., etc. and expand all abbreviations unless very specifically told otherwise.

Generally, unless told otherwise I expand in the diagnosis and impression section and leave the rest verbatim.

Clear as mud, huh?

It varies. Newbies usually
start around 6 or 7, average experience around 8ish, and very experienced in everything can make anywhere from 9-11. (This would be as an employee with benes, spaces included. As an IC or without spaces, cpl would be more to make up for that.)
Time varies
I worked for a doctor like the one above, records kept for years because they were so slack and careless they'd lose their nose if not attached. The doctors in the group I am with presently, I keep the notes for 3 months out of courtesy, but they have never had to ask for one. It all depends on whether others do their job or not as to how long to keep the reports. Talk to the company/doctor you work for about how long they want you to keep records.
I dunno. The same woman has done my hair at FS for years. I try to go to

fancier places sometimes, but I always go back there. She's really a good hair cutter.

Dunno.... the QA's who post on here sound pretty
Reading about how perfect they all say they are, how they never make a mistake, and all the rest of us are bastically illiterate, ou'd think they invented medical transcription, and possibly even the English language.
I don't think FEDERAL varies whereas state...sm

I think states set their own regulations but I do believe that Federal is all one set of rules/regulations.  The police might be able to tell you but I think you'd find out so much more via the internet if you know what state he is in.  I found someone in jail recently.  I put in her name and she is locked up and probably going to get the books slammed at her.  Very young nonthinking girl too.

All states and even federales have websites.  You can type in INMATE information and then the state and all kinds of links will come up.  You can probably this way find his name at some institution and if paroled, call the institution he was paroled from and find out more details if possible.

BEST of luck on this!!!  The internet is great for finding even old friends (I found several 30+ years after being in contact).

Forgot to say the income varies according to....sm
what company they are working for.  Everybody doesn't make only 12-15 hr.  Just like any job, depended on the person and who they worked for.
It varies but make between $12 and $16 an hour - nm

Depending on where you are sm

Experienced radiology MTs can be hard to find. I work for a local MTSO as a rad MT and my workload recently doubled so we have been looking for someone part-time to help with the extra work. It has been very difficult, and we are searching nationally, not just locally.

So I would say if you have someone lined up to do the work, go for it. Otherwise test the waters and see how many resumes or applications you get and how much experience those who are applying actually have before making a decision like this.

Just my 2 cents.

Oh, and I have been paid both by the report and by the line. I much prefer getting paid by the line.

Does the same to me depending...
on what kind of sound file I'm opening. Other times it doesn't do it, but sometimes it does because it's going through some conversion process. I think it might have something to do with a codec but would like to know how to avoid it as well.
I do anywhere from 20 to 30, depending on
the dictator and type of report.
It varies so much with your ESLs, how good you are with your shortcuts, macros, etc. but most jobs
s
varies: clinic/acute, employee/IC, own accounts/pool.

Depending on the company....sm

you would probably finding yourself typing as much or more than in a MT role.  With the companies I've supervised with, there were not only the generalized e-mails to the MTs but also those answering questions from clients as well as employees.  I currently receive 150-200 e-mails a day alone to respond to, plus do a lot of other typing with the various aspects of the job.

I suggest you talk with the HR department at the company you work with to see if there is a position you can apply for that would be less typing.

Actually, you can get one for about $500+ depending on the purse.

Depending on where you live in the US, sm
I think its a good deal.  The great thing about working for a hospital is that once you add all their benefits (health, dental, vision, 401 K, etc.) you are much making much more per hour.  My wage is very similar to yours, but if I add all my benefits with it, I making more like 25.00 an hour.  They cover my spouse and children for insurance as well.
Yup - 3 to 4K, depending on the day and the dictator. NM.....
