my bestest friend is a local family practice physician and she uses EMR...basically is is taking notes on a computer as you are seeing the patient...its quicker for them and lets them do a lot of quick searching...i was motified when she told me about it but i do understand...she can run a report on a pt's past year bp's, etc. etc. and there is only the 1-time cost....times change...sucks but it happens ;)
