highlight the text and hit Ctrl Shft A or hit that key combo
before you type your text and hit it again when you're done. This works in any Word version.
Select text, Ctrl-C copies, Ctrl-V pastes...nm
x
highlight the first word you want, hold the Ctrl key down, and highlight the next, etc. nm
nm
First highlight the text too add, then hit Ctrl+insert+insert..sm

All you need to do then is assign the shortcut name and hit alt+O or click on OK.

HTH

Highlight the text and hit Ctrl-insert-insert...
then all you have to do is type in what you want to use as the shortcut.
Try ctrl+shift+left arrow to highlight the last word
then Alt + J to open AutoCorrect, type your Replace word, and tab to OK and hit the Enter key.

Make sure you don't have any extra spaces when you highlight.

Can you Ctrl + A to select the whole thing, then paste... sm
to a Word document? Ctrl + A is a Windows shortcut that works is most all programs.
Hold down Ctrl and Shift and use right arrow to highlight one word at a time. sm
You can highlight noncontiguous words by holding down on Ctrl and selecting different words.
Ctrl + W or Ctrl + F4 prompts to save and close documents
without closing Word. Ctrl + N opens a new document.
You're hitting Alt+Ctrl+S. Hit Alt+Ctrl+C to get back.

...functions should be there. Ctrl+N to send, Ctrl + I for line

Here is the code. Just copy and paste it into your shorthand. (sm)
{@KEY BkSp}-year-old

I use "yo" for that. Also have "mo" for month-old since I do pediatrics.

The @KEY specifies ShortHand to make that keystroke within the code. It basically tells Shorthand to do a backspace after you use that shortcut.

Another example is bold.

{@KEY Ctrl+B}{@NOSPACE}

My shortcut for bold is "bo" and then I just continue typing. That way I don't lose my rhythm.
Maybe Ctrl/K has a function in the software you're using, too, and not just ShortHand? I had that
s
Instead of Ctrl+Ctrl+Insert, try
Ctrl+Insert+Insert. See if that works. Mark the word-phrase that you want to insert first. Let me know.
can you copy and paste?

If not, check this site out!!!

http://www.mohca.org/standardsbodies.php3

Wow - it is interesting. You know, there is actually an organization called The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in charge of standardizing all this stuff up-and-coming.

Did you read the part about "MT changing more in the next few years than it has in the last 100"

This is it, right at this site.

It is documentation that the doctor or nurse, or healthcare provider carries and enters at the time of service...

It even automatically codes for billing, etc.

Rather than 'free text' of a doctor dictating, it is standardized text where the person enters the info...

so much to it, and it is exciting, just wished we fit in somewhere...
copy & paste
long, drawn out process which will take tons of MW space, but it can be done.
You can just copy and paste.
Yes it will conform.  Also Word allows you to use your own spellcheck.  May be a bit cumbersome at first, but should work better than typing directly in Meditech.  It lags a lot.
copy and paste
The only way I know is to copy and paste.
{@KEY Ctrl+B}
nm
she did say Ctrl/S also, which...
searches for a document for a particular patient, then after looking at the document searched for, Ctrl/T would end THAT document w/o saving any changes that may have been made while viewing document...does this make sense?  Perhaps that is why she would use Ctrl/T...
Just CTRL+K sm

then it says "the next key you type" the CTRL+B, your entry, then CTRL+B to remove bolding at then end.  Why use tags?

I think it's Ctrl + J
Works for me.
Try ALT+CTRL+R or ALT+CTRL+P nm
.
Unfortunately, once CTRL CTRL
stops working for me, I'm unable to load any more shortcuts until I go out of the program and go back in. Weird.

At MQ with DQS, you can Ctrl X, but I don't know
nm
Ctrl-S
brings up a screen, and you fill in the field or fields you want to be searched. For instance, if I want to search for reports done by Dr. Smith, I put smith into provider last name and click find(?). Then a list of reports by Dr. Smith will display, and you can choose one to look at. It opens this document up in a separate Extext document than the one you are working on. Then you can copy and paste what you need into document you are working on or just read through it, etc.

You have to remember to close the search document before you close current Extext document because it messes something up which I can't remember right now!
ctrl x
never worked for me. I highlight text, right click, choose cut and then paste where I want it.
I have never used ctrl-T
I click on the little x in the upper right corner to close, not the big red one. This will just close that document and return you to working document. I have never been kicked out using it.
ctrl/k ctrl/b OK

ctrl/k ctrl/b OK

Ctrl-A & ESP

Our physicians list is sortable by specialty (we have a newer version), so it is logical to conclude that if the list is printable it can be done that way.

Good idea about ESP to desktop.  Thanks!

I believe it's ctrl+T and not alt+T

 to enable/disable the expander.

Did you transfer the Expander from Word or build it from scratch?  Did the expander once work, then quit?   Or is this your very first use of Bayscribe?

How do you copy your SH file to text - do you copy each dictionary separately? nm
nm
copy and paste into your address bar. x
x
Can you do copy and paste rather than writing
x
Yes. Hit apply and either copy and paste, or
attach resume; however, some companies will not allow attachments.
A cover letter is always a good idea; just keep it short and to the point.

Happy Job Hunting.
How to copy & paste into FTP site?
I can't seem to figure it out?
The same way you copy/paste in all versions.
Ctrl + C to copy, Ctrl + V to paste.
COPY AND PASTE, IS THERE AN EASIER WAY?

The doctors I transcribe for are specialists so I do a full consultation but the doctors only want part of the consultation sent to the referring doctor so I copy and paste part of the dictation to a letter.  This very easy, but very time consuming.  Is there an easier way than to copy and paste for every letter. I am working in Word.

Copy & Paste in EditScript

Alice,
Do you need to upload the job first?
Can't you just go to the Search window and from the Search window use these functions again normally?

Marianne

I can hit Esc or use Ctrl/X, too, to stop it. nm

Looks like e + Ctrl + ' (apostrophe). nm

Usng Ctrl I

I have a question about this -- it is disabled where I work.  However, I have been told I can use an ExText feature to go back to any date and see my jobs listed there.  Would this be just as effective as using Ctrl I?  My lines are terribly low too, as well as others with whom I work on this account.  Funny thing is, it has happened a couple of times that I have done a job and then a little while later gotten the exact same job back again as though it was never done.  I check my "list" like they told me to do and it is not there.  I've mentioned this to my supervisor and they don't seem to care.  But the did tell me to check my list every day and let them know if it is wrong.  Is this how they cheat us out of lines????

Got it - Ctrl+Alt+Up Arrow

hit Ctrl/K, hit Backspace, hit Okay
nm
Try ctrl-Z and see if that takes it away.
Meanwhile, i'll research it.  :)
Ctrl+Enter

I mean, ctrl k backspace OK
nm
you can copy and paste from word to meditech...
It is alt V instead of ctrl V. It is VERY slow doing it that way though.
Just hit Ctrl Z and you'll get back what you

Where in the Help menu did you find the ctrl k tip?
