I have let family members go on line, nephews, nieces, etc. go online and check their E-mail when they have been visiting or someone needs to look something up but it mainly Internet and not where I store my files.   But they do ask.   If they are here for a while and not just a one minute look up -- I direct them to use my laptop.   Also could tell them according to the HIPAA rules and regs, cannot let them use your computer anymore.   You can pasword it so no one can use it without coming to you to get the password.  But speak up if it bothers you.  Again to me it is not as bad as using my toothbrush without asking or borrowing my underwear.  But that is just me.
