I have several ports butthe computer wouldn't recognize the extra ones. I went to Radio Shack and got an adapter that changes a USB port to a com port. It comes with a disk. Once installed, you just go through the ports listed for your program and you will find it. Worked like a charm. The adapter costs around 20.00.
