In Reply to: anyone have any advice? - tired of headaches

Your post could have been written by me. I HAVE had CT scan, MRI, EEG -- all normal. I had a blood test showing high ANA because my neurologist said chronic headaches can be caused by autoimmune disease, but when nothing else came back positive that was dismissed. I too worry about the doctor thinking I'm a hypochondriac, drug-seeking, a whiner, etc. I've been a guinea pig for lots of meds that didn't work including Topamax, and Depakote, which made my hair come out in clumps, but didn't help the headaches. Fioricet is what works for me. I take one tablet every single morning. Sometimes I still need aspirin or ibuprofen in the afternoon, or even to lay down with an ice pack. I take herbs to sleep, if interested you can email me, but you have to watch for drug interactions. Also watch for food allergies (sodium nitrite and sodium sulfite being my worst). I know I'm only treating the symptom and would love to have a cure. I feel like my life is on hold, I limit everything I do because of headaches. I agee, it is very depressing.
