But he does it for a better TV experience!! I work in a corner of the great room (moved to a house with too few bedrooms to have my own office!!). He likes to have the room dark when he watches TV, so he likes to turn out all the lights and close all the shutters. I like to work with lots of light, so it is always a bone of contention for us. The last time we were at IKEA, though, I bought a desk light that is the long bar type and can be adjusted so it is very low to my desk but still providing a lot of light to my entire desk area. I still feel like I'm working in a cave, but it works!
