In Reply to: I think My boss wants me to quit (vent) - I wonder if I should just straight out ask her.

The fact is whether or not she wants you to quit she will have to fire you unless you just take it upon yourself to get outta Dodge, so to speak. So, don't make it easy on her. If you want to stay there then stay there. If you cannot prove that you are due the incentive pay then her word counts against yours. So, start documenting daily stats and, say, emailing her your daily and running total for the week/pay period. Grin and bear it and don't let her get to you; it may be what she wants. Petty, but some people just are.

As for Ms. Obnoxious, tell her to STFU. You have as much right to work in an atmosphere conducive to nice, if not at least tolerable/acceptable, working conditions. I find this works really well with people and have done it many times. Get in their face and tell them very loudy, "IT IS NOT OKAY TO BE MEAN AND RUDE."

Politely tell the OM that Ms. Obnoxious' behavior might be acceptable to her because of her incredible production rate in spite of all the time she wastes not working quietly at her desk, but that you find it unacceptable and that you would like to file a formal coworker grievance. Document the interruptions she causes you. At the end of the day leave a note on both of their desks...you wasted XX minutes of my time today, you owe/cost me XX amount of $$. That might get her thinking.

Why should Ms. Obnoxious get to behave that way? It's ridiculous. If you can't be nice then dish the crap right back at her. As your OM hasn't reprimanded/handled Ms. Obnoxious' behavior then she really can't do so for you if you are just trying to stand up for yourself. If your MO is bringing complaints to you on behalf of Ms. Obnoxious you need to be able to say, "Well, that's dandy; here is what she cost me and in turn cost you in production/TAT because of her disruptive behavior."

All of that being said...is this really a place you want to work and are making good money?
