software $400 then have you take tests (which you never pass) and never get employed, but you are out $400. Don't do it. If they the same, and I think they are as I have looked into them too and NEVER was able to find anything which is a big red flag by itself. As for CMT, you will not be a CMT, you will have a certificate stating you took a MT course. In order to be a CMT you have to be a Transcriptionist for a min. of 2 years then then take the certifcation test through AAMT which costs several hundred dollars. Try applying localing at small MTSOs and see if one of them will give you a chance. Good luck.
