I am not a technical person, but it is my understanding that if your PC has Vista on it when you buy it, someone has to configure it to have XP on it too, and then you chose which OS you want to run, and I'm assuming that the CD you have would work, but AGAIN, I'm not a techie...Just repeating what I read here. Please don't take my word for anything, cause I can't find my way out of my driveway without getting lost!!! Perhaps a search on this board would bring up that discussion I read and help you out. Sorry I can't be of more help...I wish I knew all that technical stuff.....Good luck.
