Ask yourself how commited you are to being a nurse. If you are dead serious about your goal, taking the unit secretary job is a good idea.

If you take the job, is your husband committed to supporting you by dealing with childcare issues? IF he is not going to help you and support you 1000%, don't take the job.

I do not agree with the LPN below who said that working in a hospital now will not help in nursing school. I kept doing MT all through nursing school because I didn't want to take a pay cut, but I can see now that it would have been to my advantage to work at the hospital.
